The Arson Attack on Narkis Street Baptist Church

The arson attack on Narkis Street Baptist Church and destroyed sixty chairs and caused smoke and water damage. The arsonists forced entered through a side door and used flammable material to kindle flames at three places in the sanctuary. Pastor Charles Kopp of the English-speaking international Narkis Street Congregation said “They kept [the fire] from going big, destroying the piano or the pulpit or platform.” The strident voice woke a German woman who was living in an adjoining church-owned building and she called Kopp, the Kopp saw water on the floor and burned chairs but the woman was safe and sound. The church insurance company may not cover the damage as the alarm was switched off. Kopp said “People come here at all hours of the day and night, and they don’t know how to arm or disarm the alarm system, we fell into the disuse of the alarm system.”

Hunt creates a wonderful theory equally adjoining both scripture and science. “There is absolutely no reason why religion and science cannot be on the same side of the issue of Creation,” Hunt says. “I’m quite confident that Christians can easily accept that scientific how if scientists would be willing to accept that God is the why. This is the direction that I chose in writing Episteme Scientia.”

Dave Christiano has produced a film full of sentimental drama, reality, a film which will surely touch your heart. Me & You, Us, Forever is a real love story containing low budget and no big name actor or actress, in this movie a forty seven years old Christian man who starts to reminisce about his old high school girlfriend, who was his first love, and whom he dated for two years, four months, and twenty eight days. Daves says “A first love is hard to beat,” when a 17 year old boy dates a 16 year girl for that length of time, during a stage of life when hearts are so very tender, you never forget or really get over your first love. To me, there is no greater feeling, and I’ve tried to capture that with this movie.”

Militant Islamists Warned to Shoot Church members

Militant Islamists in the northern state warned the church members to shoot in the next few days. Leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria told that the letters containing warning were dropped onto the building of the Church. The church was constructed when members of the Church at Wulari EYN Church in Maiduguri were facing difficulties in getting safe place at the time of energy crisis and fuel for cars. To get rid of this problem, one of the church members, Andrew Balami offered his home for doing worship. Now Balami’s residence became a church where Bible studies and prayers were done every day. Muslims soon got annoyed and made an objection and dominated state government ordered Balami to put up the shutters to the home church. Balami got suspended from office for one year. Government sent ten letters to Balami, it was written in the letter that he can not use his home as a church. He was also threatened with legal prosecution, Balami and all the church members decided to change the place and collect funds to build a sanctuary.
